Supporting and reporting points for facilitation, mediation, and management of conflicts

Problems and conflicts can arise in any working environment. It is important to address these situations and to find sustainable solutions.

The MPI-AB supports its employees in conflict management in the workplace. Depending on whether the situation relates to a conflict with colleagues or superiors, a complaint about misconduct or report of a grievance, or seeking advice due to their personal situation, we provide appropriate contact and reporting points both locally within the MPI-AB or at the Max Planck Society and University of Konstanz.

Once per year, the Doctoral and Postdoctoral researchers elect their representatives, one per location. The representatives convey the requests and concerns of their peers to the faculty and bring together their peers from the different locations. more
