Main Focus

My research program investigates the ecology and evolution of communities on our rapidly changing planet.

I focus on how disruptions to plant-animal interactions can lead to changes in biodiversity and ecological function across scales. My approach embraces, conceptually and methodologically, that community responses to environmental change are linked across species and discipline.

To address these questions at ecologically relevant scales, my team and I have developed new ways to collect and statistically integrate data spanning biodiversity, movement, and genetics. We have used this interdisciplinary approach to illuminate how responses to environmental shifts can produce non-linear changes to ecosystem processes like seed productionseed dispersal, and carbon storage.
